Why Both Barrels Media Exists
Why This Exists
Each of us increasingly seeks confirmation for our own worldview-it comforts us, but it also divides us. At Both Barrels Media, we give it our best shot, wherever the truth may lead. Because truth still matters.
In a world where truth is increasingly blurred and replaced by comfortable narratives, Both Barrels Media exists to cut through the noise.
We focus on faith, culture, and politics—not as separate conversations, but as one unfolding story that must be understood together.
Both barrels means this: to hunt for truth with everything we’ve got, then proclaim it boldly.
"Each of us, at on point in our lives, whether at family gatherings, the office, or socially, have encountered UNPLEASANT conversations that arise about religion...or politics. Our heart quickens, our fists CLENCH, and our eyes roll back in our head as we shut our eyes..."

Cutting Through the Noise
We’re not here to add to the noise—we’re here to cut through it.
Whether it’s politics, religion, culture, or the deeper question of what it means to live well, we push past surface-level takes and get to the heart of the matter—where truth actually lives and where real life is shaped.
At times, we’ll publish dissenting voices—and when we do, we’ll respond clearly and respectfully. Not to win arguments, but to bring clarity where confusion has taken hold.
Life is short. The noise is deafening. So let’s cut to the chase: what’s the forest for the trees?
As Bishop Fulton Sheen once observed:
“There are millions who oppose what they believe the Catholic Church is… but only a handful oppose what the Catholic Church really teaches.”
That’s the standard: make the truth clear—boldly, simply, and without compromise.
Because truth still matters—and it matters in how we live, how we think, and how we engage the world around us.
Where We Stand
Both Barrels Media is rooted in the Catholic tradition—but our mission begins long before labels.
We live in a culture full of fragments. People are searching, questioning, and trying to make sense of things—across faith, politics, and everyday life—often without realizing that the story they’re looking for has already been told, whole and complete.
Our focus is the lost—the un-catechized, the unchurched, and those who have drifted. The “seeker” isn’t the problem; the seeker is the opportunity. Beneath the noise, there’s a real desire for truth, clarity, and something solid to stand on.
That search is what led us home.
We believe the fullness of that story is found in the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church—not as an institution of control, but as a living continuity of truth that speaks into every part of life: faith, culture, politics, family, and the way we live day to day.
We are unapologetically pro-life. We believe truth is not invented, but discovered. And we believe that reverence, clarity, and conviction are not relics of the past—they are exactly what this moment requires.
We also recognize the reality: the Church’s reputation is at a low point. Confusion, compromise, and noise have clouded what should be clear. But the answer is not to reinvent the Church—it is to rediscover and present it as it was given.
Both Barrels Media exists to evangelize and to re-evangelize—to stand at the door and invite people in, not just to explore, but to encounter the fullness of the faith.
From there, the mission continues—bringing that clarity back into our families, our communities, our culture—and yes, even into the political conversations that shape our common life.
“To the Deaf, You Shout”
People today are numb to a great many things. In both religion and politics, many believe they’ve arrived—yet still feel a quiet, unspoken pull that something isn’t quite right. Even within the Church, many are drifting.
It’s often easier to stay comfortable than to confront the possibility that we’ve misunderstood something along the way.
Flannery O’Connor captured the challenge well:
“To the hard of hearing you shout, and for the almost-blind you draw large and startling figures.”
At Both Barrels Media, that’s the task—not to shock for its own sake, but to wake people up to what is real. Our world, our culture, and even our faith conversations can become dull and resistant to truth. Sometimes, though, just the right jolt will do.
So we aim to speak plainly—and when needed, boldly.
both barrels: to hunt for the truth with all we've got...then shout it loudly
"Like the Apostle Paul, we strive to ‘declare the whole counsel of God’ (Acts 20:27)—boldly, faithfully, and without compromise." At Both Barrels Media, that is the standard: clarity over confusion, truth over noise.

"Meet the Team"
“From Yellowboots Farm to the Catacombs”
Meet Redford — observer, commentator, and occasional basement operative.
Redford lives out on Yellowboots Farm. But he doesn’t stay there.
From time to time, he makes his way down into the basement catacombs of Both Barrels HQ—where the lights are low, the mics are hot, and the noise of the world gets stripped down to what it really is.
He shows up in places you wouldn’t expect. Says things most won’t.And sees things people pretend not to notice. Redford isn’t here to play a part.
He’s here because in a world full of spin, noise, and endless talking—somebody has to actually call it. And when he does…you’ll hear it.
You’ll find Redford in our “Daily Crow”—
short takes, sharp observations, and the kind of commentary that doesn’t wander.
“And Then There’s Cassidy”
Every straight shooter needs someone to push back.
Cassidy is a regular on Yellowboots Farm. He shows up. No one’s quite sure how. Or why. They’ve grown found of providing color commentary on the goings on at the farm.
When Redford starts talking, Cassidy’s usually not far behind—asking questions, poking holes, or saying what others are thinking but won’t say out loud.
If Redford calls it straight—Cassidy makes sure it lands.
Together, they don’t just comment on the world.
They pull it apart.
